Loved, the situation and the staff, the atmosphere and the food and the relaxed feel. It's an unpretentious no frills hotel run by incredibly hard-working staff right on the shores of the loch. It welcomes dogs and it's a great base for walkers and for anyone visiting the area. However if you are expecting a hotel like holiday inn. This is not. I understand they are refurbishing some rooms I think I had an older one but it was clean and comfortable, It takes you back in time but that is part of the charm. The reviews are so varied but I would say this just shows if the right people come they will love it. The food was delicious and even the evening entertainment was good and a lot of fun not normally something I join in with. I will definitely be back with my dogs and my walking boots. They will do a packed lunch for walkers and there is a form to fill out if you go for a walk with contact details which I thought was really good.

Stayed at Arrochar Hotel and had a unique experience! The hotel has a traditional Scottish charm, which really makes you feel like you're stepping back in time. It's located in a quiet village near Loch Ness, adding to the mystical atmosphere. The rooms were clean, but everything was quite old and could use some updates. The breakfast was a standard English breakfast, good enough to start the day. The journey to the hotel was also memorable—we spent the whole ride listening to Scottish fairy tales, which made the stay feel even more magical (and a little eerie!). Definitely a place with character and history. If you love authentic Scottish vibes, this hotel is worth a visit!

I thought this was exceptional value for the money. Stayed on Sunday night in November. Room was clean, everything worked well. Having stayed twice now, i can recommend the food here, v good quality and portions. Excellent steak and ale pie, decent amount of steak! And really good smoked salmon(had both times), full of flavour and texture, probably locally sourced i would think. Wide choice at buffet breakfast too. Hotel a bit old fashioned and ideally could do with revamp, but this is not really an issue for me, i am more price sensitive....! Good for citylink coaches from and to Fort william which stop a few hundred yards away.

The hotel was beautifully situated on the shores of Loch Long. Easy access from the main road. The staff welcomed us with a smile. The reception area was bright and warm.and the staff were very helpful with the signing in formalities, making it seem very simple. We received an upgrade to a room with a Loch view. The room was clean and had a kettle along with tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits .lots of hot water for a bath (which we prefer) or a shower. The breakfast 😋 was substantial with lots of choice. Parking was plentiful. Would return and recommend the hotel to family and friends. Great value for the price.

Perfect location, we wanted to break our journal home to Yorkshire having spent 8days in the Isle of Skye on a walking holiday. Our room had a fabulous view across the lock, wonderful scenery, the beds were comfy, good shower with the option of a bath, all the staff were happy, smiley and attentive, the restaurant staff ensured we were happy by checking all was ok and was there anything else they could get for us, which was appreciated thank you. We really enjoyed our evening meal of mussels for starters and fajitas for mains - delicious!
